Dr. Edward Rustamzadeh is the best. I am in very little pain after my fusion and my symptoms are completely gone.

Totally satisfied with Dr R. He’s straightforward, clear, patient, and takes his time to explain what needs to be done. No nonsense. I have confidence in him. He previously did a successful procedure on me. I highly recommend him to others.

Dr Rustamzadeh is the best. He straightened out my spine which had been messed up by multiple surgeries by multiple doctors over the last 30 years. He replaced supporting rods that had been previously inserted, realigned them, extended fusions and inserted a wedge to straighten my spine. I can now standup straight and am again taller than my wife. This was a massive reconstruction of my spine and Dr R has performed a miracle (my wife's words). 4 months after surgery, I am standing tall and living in less pain with healing still taking place. Thanks Dr R.

Extremely disappointed in Doc Edward Rustamzadeh, He diagnosed me for I was leaning forward and to the right with bad left SI pain while walking. His correction was to put 8 bolts and rods perform fusion at l4, l5, S1 and both SI joints. Now 6 months later I have more pain through the lower back, left SI joint pain and I am still leaning forward and to the right, I have tried several times to make an appointment to see him through his office clerk Nicole and He refuses to see me. This is borderline Mal practice. He is telling me to see my other doctors for what is his responsability I came to this man and had him diagnose me and do the surgery because he said he would fix the pain and get me up straight again. With such poor after care, I am sorry I ever let this man touch me. I will never recommend him for anything and I will spead the word of his poor support and failure to correct me from pain and standing up straight. Basically I feel I have been lied to by his staff and possibly him also. I am looking for legal course of action now since he still refuses to see me while I am having complications’

Doctor R performed a ACDF fusion surgery on my neck in July and I had absolutely no problem with recovery. A mild sore throat was about all I had to complain about. Didn't even have to take any pain medication which probably is an exception to most patients. My dizziness and loss of balance is gone. I no longer need a cane for walking and feel more secure in my everyday activities. I am so glad I picked this doctor for this type of surgery.

I would highly recommend Dr. Edward Rustamzadeh to any and everyone who has back issues as I had. DR. Rustamzadeh, recommended to put a titanium bracket in my back, as I had no disc left, on my left side. At first I was skeptical at first, but was told this was my only option, as my bones were scraping against each other causing pain, and needed to have the bracket put in place, to keep the bones in my spine from scarping against each other like coarse sandpaper. So in 2017 I had the surgery done, and couldn't be more pleased with the results. I have no pain what so ever, and I have great mobility, as I was fearing that I wouldn't be able to bend or twist that much. I am happy to say, that I can bend and twist with absolutely no pain. It feels as I have no hardware in my back, and feels like I have a disc in my spine, and never went through any surgery. if anyone has what I had, and needs surgery I would recommend them to Dr. Rustamzadeh, and if they need someone to talk to, that has to have surgery, I would be more than happy to talk with them, and answer any questions they might have.

In mid-2016 I was in a car accident. For the few months following I was getting intense headaches, dizzy and falling. - and it was getting worse. The doctors at the medical group I was with told me that I was fine and kept giving me pain meds -Percocet-- which after a while did nothing for he pain - let's not mention the other crazy symptoms I started having like falling down out of nowhere along with the dizziness and intense migraines. I kept going back to the medical group and hey kept telling me it was nothing and it would go away. They would not explain why this was happening or what other options I had. My quality of life was HORRIBLE - I didn't and couldn't get out of bed.I was frustrated and tired of feeling horrible. Enter Dr R: came to Dr. R On the referral of a friend. From the moment I talked to him I knew he was the person I wanted looking after me. He was honest and direct and explained everything to me. If you are looking for someone to sugar coat - it's not him. BUT HONESTLY who wants sugar coating when it comes to your spine. after speaking with Dr R and his evaluation of my symptoms, we decided that ACDF surgery was the best solution. I was set up for surgery two weeks later in December 2016. LET ME TELL YOU - this was the best thing to happen to me. my symptoms were notably gone when I woke up - I was in shock. And almost two years later i still feel great! And DR R? He is at the top of his craft and is a master technician. I had met people (not Dr R's parients) after this surgery and not only are some of them still in pain but they have a large scar. Dr R took such care not only of me and my surgery but unless I point it out - you would never have known I had the surgery. He was great pre- and post-op answering questions and genuine concern and desire for me to be better His office is no frills but when it comes to spine surgery - who cares about frills - I want an amazing doctor and THAT is what you will get if you see Dr R. Nicole in his office is amazing, responsive and helpful! After my surgery when I had questions - she was always so kind to answer them and help! 5 stars for her too!!!

The entire office offers exceptional service to their patients before and after the treatment. The stuff is always on it and does everything with a smile on their faces and the Dr Rastamzadech is fantastic. I wish I would found this doctor few years back.

I had a broken vertebrae (C2), that was misdiagnosed at the emergency room as "stable", although I could feel a loose bone that did not seem to be there before. Dr. Rustamzadeh reviewed my CT scan on Dec 31, spotted the issue immediately, he saw me Jan 2 in spite of a busy schedule, and 8 days later performed a fusion (C2-C3) . Everything went well. Although I am not qualified to judge his work especially just 1 month after surgery, several things tell me that I was fortunate to be directed to Dr. R. by my worker comp insurance. The personnel of the hospital seemed to have a very positive reaction when they learned who did my surgery. Dr. R. is quite well known there and respected. Dr.R. is quite efficient, straight to the point, a keen sense of time management yet careful to explain & answer questions. His administrative staff is helpful and welcoming.

"Over a period of two years and after several visits to the hospital for major heart problems resulting in 5 angiograms and 7 stents placed in his main arteries, my husband was still experiencing pain through the neck and left shoulder. The X-rays showed serious degeneration of the neck which was in the process of auto fusing. Very, very painful. Looking at the X-rays and considering his heart problems, his primary doc said there are very few surgeons that would even touch that, but one would ...Dr Rustamzadeh. After getting clearance from his cardiologist and much prayer to the Lord Jesus, two weeks later Dr R did a total reconstruction of his neck C-2 through C7. He went through the front and the back of the neck. The surgery lasted approximately 8 hours. The recovery wasn't too bad. He was off all pain meds in a week and today he is completely pain free! I can't say enough good things about Dr Rustamzadeh. He is one awesome surgeon...an absolute miracle worker!! Also, his staff is always so helpful and takes the time to answer any questions."

"I recently was referred to Dr. R for my lower back pain of over 5 years, I thought this was going to be another pat on the back saying that this is normal aging pain. After Dr. R had looked at my mri and examined me he stated I needed a outpatient surgery. Since doing the surgery the back pain that I had is gone and I'm starting to get feeling back in my toes and have been nothing but happy with this."

"Dr. Rustamzadeh was wonderful, my husband and I cannot be more grateful for his brain surgery expertise. I loved that he was pragmatic and straightforward about the process, and clear in his communication without being excessive. The surgery was very successful, quick, and professional. Highly, highly recommended."

"Dr. Rustamzadeh relieved my debilitating back pain (a stenosis--a ligament inside the spinal column gets too thick and presses on the the spinal cord--hurts like an electric jolt if you move wrong). I had read a few negative comments sprinkled among the positives about his occasional outbursts in another posting, and was prepared for some friction. However, he was a nice guy throughout. Everything he told me to do after surgery worked to relieve my post-operative pain; everything he said he would do he did; he said he would remove my pain, and he did. He was pleasant and patient with me (I always ask a lot of questions and occasionally that frustrates busy doctors). I have had 8 surgeries over 40 years, four of them on my spine, so I have met a few surgeons along the way. Rustamzadeh is easily one of the best!"

"I am writing on behalf of my husband who had surgery performed in February. He broke his neck at the C5 level. The first doctor put him in a body brace to see if things would fuse. After 2.5 months of things getting worse, he offered a 10-12 hour surgery. Then we found Doctor Rustamzedeh. He said the 2.5 months wait should never have been offered, told us he could fix things with 3-4 hour surgery and a 3-4 day hospital stay. Well, it took him 7 hours as more work was needed than what showed up on scans. If you are looking for skills, Doctor "R" is your man. If you are looking for someone to sweet talk you, he will not. He certainly cares but takes the business of healing you very seriously. For my husband, he could not have been a better choice since the surgery was not your average problem. For the money, we chose to go for expertise which he has in abundance and keep the fluff for something else. In reading other reviews, it must be pointed out that every patient must be honest with him or herself with regards to "wished for results" and "what results are possible."No doctor can undo the damage of injury. But they can set you on a course for healing and repair damage. That may or may not be the same thing as before injury. Dr R outlined what needed to be done and how things would be after surgery, in other words, what is and isn't possible. He took a severely broken neck and made it functional and my husband is feeling pretty good after the recovery time. My husband had right arm problems (paralysis) but has followed his directions to the tee (some patients don't) and we are seeing the paralysis almost gone, 3 months post surgery. Overall, my husband is very happy with his results."

"I was referred to Dr. Rustamzadeh by a family friend who recently underwent a successful complex spine surgery. Besides that, I went online to gather additional information about Dr. Rustamzadeh through others reviews from different websites. Based on the referral and many positive reviews, I decided to make a trip to his office for a consultation. After being given a thorough explanation of my spine problems and what can be done to relieve the symptoms, I set up the date for my spine surgery without hesitance. There was no intraoperative event. The pain management regimen that Dr. Rustamzadeh prescribed for me, for post-op and for discharge, was well beyond my needs. My pain, numbness, and tingling sensation have gone away; my strength has been back to normal now (about 1 month post-op). I couldnt be happier choosing Dr. Rustamzadeh as the surgeon to fix my spine problems and the related symptoms. He possesses great skills, honesty, and professionalism that one would search into for a great surgeon."

"Definitely a 5 Star Neurologist. My wife had spinal fusion, ALIF which is fusion of several discs L4/L5 L5/S1, transact decompression and...well you get the picture. It was a major 6 hour long surgery and another 4 hours in recovery at El Camino Hospital. She was in so much pain for so long prior to surgery! And as promised she has zero pain now and is so happy!!! Dr. R was very professional and thorough prior to during and post surgery. He took the time to explain things so that we understood what was going on and what we should expect. He always stopped and asked if we had questions. Of course we researched the procedures and had tons of questions that he answered even before we could ask. He was a good listener and always made sure we were fully aware of what was going on. My wife and I found Dr. R to be very compassionate and caring. He always spoke with us in a relaxed yet professional manner. HERE's an example of his compassion. When her stitches were removed and the fluids taken from her back post surgery she became weak and faint. He was so fast to take care of her to get her comfortable and make sure she was okay. I've never seen a doctor have such care and concern for a patient. That meant a lot to us. Also kudos to Nicole who is a true gem in his office. She was terrific in scheduling, insurance and especially great at getting our questions answered quickly. She deserves a raise lol! We would definitely recommend Dr. R for back issues and surgery."

"Every nurse we can into contact with said they would choose dr r if they needed surgery. There is no higher recommendation. They all loved working with dr r (so I doubt he yells at them). He contacted my husband within an hour of getting his MRI results and saw him that day. He spent another visit with him prior to the surgery. He is a man of few words because he has work to do. The nurses said he takes on the most difficult cases. We had two "issues" after the surgery and he responded to each call/question within ten minutes. One of the concerns had nothing to do with the surgery technically (a migraine) and he still helped us out. His staff was equally responsive and helpful. He is skilled, to the point, and effective. What more can you want from someone working on your spine. Thank you dr r."
