One week out from a arthroscopic hip surgery...everything is great. Dr. Baxter has been wonderful to work with. He keeps my wife and I fully informed of the processes that we will be going through during rehabilitation. I had trigger finger surgery for my middle finger right hand. I had local anesthesia. Dr Baxter explained the procedure from start to finish. On the 8th day after surgery I played 9 holes of golf and the next day I played 18. I had the stitches covered with a band aid and wore a golf glove on my right hand as well. There was never a problem with the grip hurting my hand. I am glad I had this done. Dr Baxter has also done both hands for carpal tunnel. He is a wonderful physician.

Just having had knee replacement, I have nothing but praise for Dr. Baxter and the entire team at Southern Hills. From the initial pre-op to discharge I had a wonderful experience. I highly recommend Southern Hills and Dr. Baxter. P.S. The Bistro provided delicious food and the beautiful flowers from Rebel Hill Florist was a lovely touch! The rose the hospital gave me still looks great two weeks after surgery.

I do not know if my experience is typical for rotator cuff surgery. I am one week out of surgery and have had almost no pain or discomfort. I have taken one pain pill since surgery. My wife broke the pill in half for the first night and the other half was taken the next morning. I slept in an easy chair for 3 nights and then back to into my bed. Am careful to,wear my sling when away from home so I do not accidentally reach for an object or reach to shake hands with someone before I realize that movement should not happen for a few weeks. My surgeon, Dr. Malcolm Baxter, is a highly skilled surgeon. If you want an extremely capable man to help you, see him. His staff also did a great job before and after surgery. I was taking meds but I do remember Dr. Gray, Penny, and Hunter who is an excellent R.N. The last thing Dr. Baxter did before operating me was to come and pray with me. If you are a believer it does not get any better than that.

Hi I had a hip arthroscopy about 6 weeks ago. 3 labral tears repaired and bone spurs removed from femur ball. I was actually using a walker later the same day. Was able to stay by myself and pain was very managable. Really not bad at all. I do recommend pt.

I had meniscus repair surgery after an injury occurred in a car accident. I was in much pain even standing before the surgery. Dr. Baxter arthroscopically repaired the tear and straightened my kneecap. I immediately felt the former pain subside. I had normal swelling and discomfort for a few days. I was driving again in 3 days and back to normal walking and activity within 4 weeks. He and his staff were wonderful!

I had rotator cuff surgery on July 3 and on July 4 the following year I was serving in a water volleyball game!
